Techno tracks with one focus or the other. Another good list.

Description This song was made during one of those mental block times, when I was unable to make anything decent. So Maelcum suggested that I remix one of his tracks, Alternate Function, released at Kosmic quite a while back. When I got done with the track, I wasn’t really satisfied with what I had, it didn’t sound like it had any purpose as such, just aimless kinda. It laid around my harddisk for over a year. I had sent it to Maelcum to hear but never really released it… He did tho, on his mp3.com/maelcum site. So I decided it was time to give this song another chance. I heard it eventually and it now, it sounds pretty ok… not bad, good fun actually… =) so I cleaned up the .IT and released it finally, I guess more than a year after it was made! Hope you like it, its fun, yea… it is…

Description Hehe, this one was good fun to start out on, I was on irc and someone told me of this shoutcast station streaming cellphone calls, so I recorded a big chunk of it. Some interesting dialogue in this track, major house track, it transitions from one stage to another, lots of resonant filters used in this one as well, its quite aimless perhaps, but its fun nontheless. Its good for a nice long 10 minute dance. The name just reflects the rhythm of the track.

  Tender Agony

Description Aaha! This one has a story to it. Well, it started out as 20 seconds of music. An incomplete for a loooong time. Well, whats new with that!? Ok, the final result of the track was made for a friend. He was gonna ask one of his old friends out, he knew her for a long time, and it was special, tender, should have happened. So the first half of the song was made to fit that situation, something like a gift. He asked and she turned him down, what agony. Well, so the second half of the song, made after he asked, reflects just that. Easy to sum it all up with two words. What he actually goes through every day? Difficult.

  Frequent Flyer (breakmix)

Song Length 9:20
Released At Kosmic

Description A remix of Maelcum’s original Kosmic release, this track was made just like Alternate Function, the wane of my inspiration was in effect, yea, its like a sine wave, you got highs and lows. I had heard the original mellow version and Maelcum told me of other Frequent Flyer remixes (available at http://www.mp3.com/maelcum) so I decided I’d make my own. Major work in resonance effects in IT, this track gets real good 2/3rd’s the way thru’ the track. Interesting and nice and long. Major overhaul on the original, this one is aggressive =)

Description Haah! This one was a cool one, took me maybe 2 hours to make, and real easy too! It features on the Kosmic Archives 3. It wasn’t released outside for a while tho, then I decided I might as well, its just 3.5 minutes long, and is a fun song, who cares! Nice and original sound, I’m sure anyone will like this, interesting and active. Just a funky name, nothing related to the track unfortunately. Just something that came out.

Description This particular song is interesting. It has done so well at riffage.com that they featured me in the electronica section for a week then their main page for a day. Then they put me on their ‘Best of Techno’ cd feature. Interesting, but nothing much came out of all that. SuX0r. Well, back to the song, nice techno mix, nice flow, a bit of acid, very dancable indeed. And the ending takes the cake. I actually had people ask me what it was! Werd…

Description What started out as an experiment in IT became a song. Load it up in IT and hit F5 and you will understand the *experiment*. Pretty original I’d hope, I’ve not heard many songs like this. This song also is pretty old, had been sitting around doing nothing on my hdd. Finally made it to the Return to Stage 9 music disk made by Stein. Its a fun song, nice to hear, nice ideas in this one. Quite a bit of experimenting with the sound too. But definitely could have done better. Its done now tho, who cares… 😉
